The hostel is conveniently located in a quiet area, yet close to everything. Scooter rental is just across the street, and it is walking distance from the pier. The shared bathrooms are beautiful and well-maintained, with neat and tidy facilities.

The lack of staff presence at the front desk was an inconvenience, especially during check-in and check-out times.

poor communication from staff

I had a fantastic stay at a hostel in Koh Lanta. The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable compared to other places I've stayed. The shared bathrooms were beautifully designed and everything was kept neat, tidy, and clean. The location was perfect - it was in a fairly quiet area but still close to everything. I was able to rent a scooter right across from the hostel, which was incredibly convenient. The hostel staff were very accommodating and helpful. They even provided soft towels, toiletries, tea & coffee, fresh fruit, and breakfast making facilities. The lounge area had excellent Wi-Fi and the overall atmosphere was great. I highly recommend this hostel for its cleanliness, hotel facilities, and friendly staff.

The guestrooms at Journey Hostel are cozy and comfortable, making you feel right at home. The air conditioning is a savior in the hot weather. Plus, the free WiFi and complimentary bottled water are a nice touch.

Shared bathrooms might not be everyone's cup of tea, but hey, it's a small trade-off for such an awesome hostel.
